THE CLYDE:
Lou saved Clyde’s life during the war and ever since, Clyde went everywhere that Lou did. Clyde had a quiet confidence and always seemed to live in the moment without a care in the world. Having grown up on a peach farm in Georgia, Clyde had a charming southern drawl and would call every woman “his peach”. ‘The Clyde’ was one of Herb & Lou’s earliest concoctions and was a tribute to Clyde’s friendship. According to family lore, it captures his quiet sophistication perfectly.

THE CECILE:
One of the quirkiest things about Cecile was that she called everything with alcohol in it “hooch.” It didn’t matter whether it was beer, wine or a cocktail, it was all hooch! Cecile always seemed to be flying off to somewhere and yet still found time to be one of the highlights of Herb & Lou’s parties. With her electric smile and bohemian air, we suspect (but can’t confirm) that Herb & Lou both had a bit of a crush on Cecile – just don’t tell our grandmothers.

THE COOPER:
A close friend to Herb, Cooper was often the life of the party. Many times, he would bust out and literally howl at the moon. His fierce loyalty to Herb was apparent and he may have been at every party Herb & Lou threw. He had a mane of messy reddish brown hair and if he wasn’t by Herb’s side or sniffing around for treats, you’d find him curled up sleeping off the fun – somewhere.
